It begins with 100% pure silk and traditional plant-based dyes, and includes a special step known as “passing through river mud.” This process uses mineral-rich river mud from the local area, which is repeatedly applied and sun-dried on the dyed silk. Through this “baptism” of river mud, the silk develops a unique luster and deep, rich tones. From this nourishing mud comes the name “Black Mud,” symbolizing the harmony between traditional craftsmanship and nature.
